Pre-Group Call-
Our team will link everyone together via Google Meet or phone call to discuss guest questions, provide clarity on gear, and explain what to expect when you arrive in town.
In Town Meet Up -
Guides will meet with guests in town, before the day one program start date to grab boots at Ouray Mountain Sports.
Day 1 – 5:30 am- Completion
Meet In Ouray and Carpool to Silverton
Coffee Bear for Breakfast
Fifteen-minute drive to Eureka Canyon.
Thirty-minute approach to the base of CR.
Climb our objective and descend route.

PREPARATION FOR THE BACKCOUNTRY ICE CLIMBS
TECHNICAL experience
Backcountry Ice climbs require fundamental lead belaying skills and familiarity with ice axes and crampons. Guests must climb one day in the Ice Park with your guide before going into the backcountry, or have a referral of experience for our team to review.
Fitness
General climbing fitness is required and an ability to climb two days in a row. Ice climbing is a physical style of climbing that requires controlled and static body movement. Any training with this style in mind, prior to the seminar will be helpful.
